HackMiamiCon5 Report

The weekend of May 20-21 2017, HackMiamiCon5 was held in Miami Beach at the Deauville Resort.  I've been to all 5 conferences and have spoken at the last 4.  Yeah, on Sunday I spoke on Cyber Resilience.

Overall, this was a good conference.  Unlike in the past, we actually had 2 tracks both Saturday and Sunday.  In the past, there was only one track on Sunday.
Both keynotes on Saturday and Sunday were great.  And the con wrapped up with a panel discussion on Sunday.

In addition to the talks, there was training on Friday, and a Capture the Flag game ran on Saturday and Sunday.  In addition, there was a lockpick village, a Pi village, and a badge hack activity.

There were some problems, but more caused by the venue.  There was problems with the A/C, so things were a bit hot.  I would have like to have seen some vendors.

The organizers are looking at options on where next year's con will be held, maybe in Broward, maybe in Dade.  The date IS set for May 18-20, 2018.  I look forward to it.
